Fabrication and Assembly of Custom Scale Cart for the Pharmaceutical Industry

When Tarpenning-LaFollette Company, Inc. was contracted by a client in the pharmaceutical industry to fabricate this featured computer cart, we put our custom sheet metal services to work. Starting with a customer-supplied print and a 2D CAD drawing, we determined that the component would best be manufactured using a combination of laser cutting, bending, and welding. After we had manufactured the cart and adhered to IS0-9001-2008 standards, the 304 stainless steel cart measured 42.25" long, 57.00" high, 24.75" wide, with a maximum thickness of .25 of an inch. During finishing, we ground smooth and buffed all welds, and de-burred and smoothed exposed edges. As part of the cart, we also included two, 4" rigid casters with stainless steel frames, and two, 4" swivel locking casters with stainless steel frames. Once we had fully assembled all components of the cart, we delivered the computer cart to our client, where it was put to use in a pharmaceutical application. The entire project took one to two weeks.
