History

Founded in 1920, The Tarpenning-LaFollette Company, Inc.  is a precision sheet metal fabrication and job shop specializing in custom metal shelving, custom enclosures, as well as institutional radiation and convector covers. This is, however, only a fraction of our shop's capabilities, and we take pride in our ability to design, fabricate and install any custom metal application. Our work, both ornamental and industrial, can be seen throughout Indianapolis and surrounding areas, and is a testament to our commitment to quality products and services. Meet Our People

Kim Martin President Co-owner and President, Kim has been with Tarpenning-LaFollette since 1978. In addition to his administrative functions as CEO, he specializes in retail sales and metal shelving. He is a graduate of Purdue University. He is a long time member of the Rotary Club and has served in a number of capacities with the Sheet Metal Contractors Association. He is also a graduate of Purdue University and received his Masters Degree from Butler University. He has been with the company since 1983 and is Chairman of the Board of Directors. Duffy Thornburg Head of Sales Duffy has been with Tarpenning-LaFollette since 1977, serving both as a foreman and a supervisor. Dean Broyles Estimator, Detailer Dean won several awards as the top apprentice in the Sheet Metal Workers’ National Apprentice Contest. He has worked at Tarpenning-LaFollette since 1994. Jennifer Matthews Receivables Jennifer received her BA from Hanover College and her Law Degree from Indiana University –Indianapolis. She has been a member of Executive Women International since 2001, serving as president in 2003-2004. She has been with Tarpenning-LaFollette since 1993. Chad Martin Sales, Field Supervisor Chad received his BA from Indiana University-Indianapolis.
